Part of our exile life is our relationship to God's holiness. Peter helps us see that God cultivates holiness within us at such a deep level -- our minds, emotions, desires, conduct, relationship, and sins. But more mysterious than that is that God allows us to receive holiness as an identity -- we are living stones, holy nation, chose people, etc. Holiness allows us to reflect the beauty of God.
