The headlines are full of the word “revival” as it seems to be spreading across university campuses, church denominations, and worldwide missions. God seems to be doing something special after a season of pandemic, disruption, and deconstruction. There is a growing hunger for the presence of God in all arenas of our society.
Therefore, this topical series will be a journey through biblical and historical revivals. We want to glean important lessons from these powerful moments in history, understand how the scriptures underpin these moments, and ultimately stir our own personal and communal hunger for genuine, multi-generational revival in our midst.
Our anchor text is based on Psalms 85:6 which asks the timely question, “Lord, will you not revive us again, so that your people may rejoice in you?” Also, we join Habakkuk 3:2 and say, “Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known…”Yes, we join the psalmist and Habbakuk and ask the Lord to REVIVE US AGAIN.
