Title: Would you recognize Jesus if he showed up?

Scripture - Matthew 14:22-33

Matthew is writing to an audience who is well versed with the old testament. His narrative of the story draws parallels to events in the Old Testament. When Jesus invites Peter to walk on water by saying "Come!", it wasnt just a plain invitation. It was an invitation that also included the power he will need to accomplish the task. The passage shows how Jesus is with us through every storm. He will give us all that we will need to meet him out in the sear. All we have to do is ask him to bid us "Come!".
