Main scripture: Luke 18:9
There’s 2 parables in this text centered about prayer. The parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector going into the temple to pray was aimed at people who were confident about their righteousness . This was impacting their vertical relationship with God and their horizontal relationship with man that Jesus decided to address this via this parable. The prayers of these men showed the condition of their hearts (out of the abundance of their heart the mouth speaks). The two important points to meditate on.
1 God's grace gives access to gods presence.
2 The fear of god gives you the right view of God.
May we not take for granted the honor and privilege to be in Gods presence.
