Thanksgiving in the Psalms is deeply personal. The psalmists do not simply thank God for things. Through the circumstances of their lives, they discover something about who God is.

Therefore, we will listen to five different psalmists and learn to recognize the character of God through their stories.

David discovers a Deliverer while running for his life.
Moses discovers the Everlasting God while watching generations come and go.
Solomon discovers the Provider behind everything he is trying to build.
The Sons of Korah discover that the Lord Almighty welcomes them into His presence.
Asaph remembers that God Himself is the strength His people need.

Our thanksgiving ultimately rises beyond the gifts of God to the God who gives them. Ultimately, we give thanks in this season not only for what God has done, but for who God has proven Himself to be.

Thank you, Lord, for who You are to us. We are so grateful for you, our Lord and our God.
