On the night before His arrest, Jesus gathered with His closest friends in an upstairs room in Jerusalem. These were His final hours with them before the cross.

What would Jesus say? What was on His heart?

In these intimate upper room moments, Jesus revealed His deepest love, His greatest promises, and His boldest prayers. He washed their feet, comforted their fears, called them to abide in Him, and then lifted His eyes to heaven and prayed for their sake.

In this expository sermon series entitled, "In the Upper Room", we will walk through John 13–17. We will hear Jesus preparing His disciples not only for what was about to happen at the cross and resurrection, but also for the mission that would unfold through Pentecost and beyond.

These words are for us too. We need to listen carefully.
