WEEK 5: Completion of the Harvest

MAIN IDEA: The harvest will be completed when Christ returns. We live faithfully now as we await the final gathering.
KEY SCRIPTURES: Revelation 7:9-10; Revelation 14:14-16; Matthew 13:39
SERMON IDEAS:
1) Vision, the final harvest is coming
- Revelation 7:9, a great multitude from every nation
- This is the end of the story, the gathering of the greatest harvest!
- Every tribe, every people, every language gathered
- This is what God has been moving toward all along, this is His endgame!
2) Completion, the harvest will be finished
- Revelation 14:14–16, the earth is harvested
- Matthew 13:39, the harvest is the end of the age
- God finishes what He starts, long ago as the Children of Israel had their exodus from Egypt to Sinai, God continues to bring His people to Himself.
- God continues to bring to completion, the harvest seen by His son, empowered by His Spirit, and carried by His church, it comes to a crescendo!
- The harvest is not uncertain. It is guaranteed
3) Tension, we live in the middle
- We are not at the beginning. We are not at the end. We are in the middle of the harvest story
- We can participate today knowing that everyday that dawns is one day closer to the end of the Harvest
- As that day approaches, are we ready? Are we doing all that we can? He who promised is faithful, it will surely come. Are you ready?
