WEEK 1: Forward In Proclamation

DATE: January 4, 2026

KEY SCRIPTURES: Acts 14:21a; Mark 16:15; Romans 1:16

MAIN IDEA: The Church moves forward when the Gospel is boldly preached.

- Paul and Barnabas begin their work by preaching the Good News in Derbe.

- The first thing they do is preach the Gospel.

- Every movement of God begins when the Gospel is clearly proclaimed.

- Proclamation required courage and conviction.

- Jesus commended us, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel” (Mark 16:15).

- Paul reminds us that the Gospel is power, not opinion (Rom. 1:16).

- The result of preaching in Acts 14 was “many disciples.”

- Faith comes by hearing; proclamation leads to new life and new believers.
